ACNE

Acne is a common skin condition that occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil (sebum), dead skin cells, and sometimes bacteria. Acne is treated with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) through a process that harnesses your body’s natural healing power to reduce breakouts, improve skin texture, and heal acne scars.

ACNE

How PRP Works for Acne and Acne Scars

  • Stimulates collagen production, which fills in acne scars

  • Encourages tissue regeneration and skin renewal

  • Reduces inflammation and helps calm the skin

  • Improves skin texture, tone, and firmness

The PRP Procedure for Acne (Often with Microneedling)

  1. Blood Draw
A small amount of your blood is drawn (just like for a basic lab test).

  2. Centrifuge Process
The blood is spun to separate out the platelet-rich plasma.

  3. Microneedling or Direct Injection

  • Microneedling + PRP: Tiny needles create micro-injuries in the skin, and PRP is applied topically and absorbed into the skin.

  • PRP Injections: PRP is directly injected into deeper acne scars to help remodel the skin from within.

Post-Treatment Care

  • Expect redness and mild swelling for 1–3 days

  • Avoid makeup or harsh products for 24–48 hours

  • Visible improvement usually starts within a few weeks

Efficacy of PRP for Acne

  • Smoother, more even skin texture

  • Fading of shallow to moderate acne scars (like boxcar or rolling scars)

  • Brighter, firmer skin

  • Better results than microneedling alone in many studies

  • Safe for all skin types with minimal downtime

Who Might Benefit from PRP?

  • PRP eye lift may be ideal for individuals who:

  • Have mild under-eye hollowness or dark circles

  • Want a natural, non-surgical approach to rejuvenation

  • Prefer treatments with low risk and minimal downtime

  • Are not ready for or do not want eyelid surgery

It’s also suitable for people with sensitive skin, as PRP uses your body’s own natural components—reducing the risk of allergic reactions or side effects.
